Mirror Lake is located in the Blanchard Springs recreation area (the caverns, pic-nicing, swimming holes, hiking trails). The lake is stocked with trout. We've caught our fair share of trout there. We've also seen eagles flying over the lake on several visits. Access is free except for the caverns. Gorgeous area and the 45-minute drive is beautiful, as well. Hunter's Restaurant is in Fifty-Six, which is nearby. There is also Fifty Six Country Store for snacks and other convenience items. Be sure to check with all businesses for dates and times open.

Very cool place to check out when your at Blanchard springs. Great opportunity to fish for some trout. Great place for bank fishing.

Mirror Lake Trail is a perfect little side trip to add to your Blanchard Springs Caverns exploration. The waterfall was a gorgeous result of the CCC-built dam on Mirror Lake. The entire area is beautiful, but you'll never forget the first time you see this magnificent cascade.
