I can attest that you will be catching fish on this river! We have done a guided trip, and also rent a boat to go out by ourselves. Bill Terry is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

I can attest that you will be catching fish on this river! We have done a guided trip, and also rent a boat to go out by ourselves. Bill Terry is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.
Mammoth Spring is one of the world’s largest springs with nine million gallons of water flowing hourly. It forms a 10-acre lake, then runs southward as the Spring River, a famous Ozark trout and float stream. Remnants of a mill and hydroelectric plant are part of Mammoth Spring’s history and Mammoth Spring State Park interprets it all. The park also features an 1886 Frisco train depot and museum. Adding to the things to do here are a playground, picnic area, baseball field, walking trail, Arkansas Welcome Center, and gift shop. Pedal boats and kayaks are also available for rent.

Mirror Lake Waterfall
Mirror Lake Trail is a perfect little side trip to add to your Blanchard Springs Caverns exploration. The waterfall was a gorgeous result of the CCC-built dam on Mirror Lake. The entire area is beautiful, but you'll never forget the first time you see this magnificent cascade.
Rated as one of Arkansas’ best float streams, the scenic Spring River is fed by the icy waters of the Mammoth Spring, just a few miles north of Hardy. The river’s white water shoals and rushing falls challenge the canoeist’s skills while the constant water flow from the spring makes it a good canoeing, kayaking, and rafting stream year-round. The South fork of the river is a mild, beautiful warm water stream with excellent scenery ideal for a leisurely float trip.
The Spring River’s cold waters make it one of the top spots for rainbow trout in Arkansas. Fly-fishing is a popular sport year-round as anglers go after trophy fish. In the warmer stretches of the river, champion Bass, Walleye, and the occasional Tiger Muskie reward the wily fishermen.

881 Culp Rd, Calico Rock, AR 72519 - the number of the road is 53, but I never saw a sign. You turn right off Highway 5 after you cross over the bridge. You will see a church on the corner. Proceed a couple of miles down the road and on the right you will see flat rocks and a couple of large rocks You will have to keep an eye out for them because it's easy to miss. It's a short very walk to the bluff overlooking the White River. Spectacular views!
