Best to go as part of a sailing tour, this canal was used by the pirates to access the lagoon and attack the town. Super shallow water and beautiful colours, though this place gets very busy in high season!

To me this is one of the most beautiful places in Bacalar, you haven’t been in Bacalar if you don’t go here! This is an important place in Bacalar where the pirates used to get in to this magical place to steal the “Palo de tinte” 🌳 (used to paint the clothes) this Chanal has a beautiful turquoise and clear water, you can see the mangroves and some birds. Please don’t make the “natural spa” you’ll see some people doing it with the sand but don’t do it we are trying to protect this place, so help us please! To get here you can take a kayak, sailing boat tour, stand up paddle board or the motor boat tour. Contact me to get more info and cheapest prices!🤩🙏🏼

Un punto imperdible de la Laguna de Bacalar, se puede visitar tomando un recorrido en embarcación, en velero o en kayak y es el inicio de la conexión de la laguna con el mar caribe.
