An industrial site nestled on a small peninsula along the Buffalo River. Artists and architects delight in the opportunity to engage with the space. The silos play hosts to all kinds of interventions and events during the warmer months and is not to be missed.

Silo City is a little hard to describe. Located in the heart of Buffalo's historic grain elevator district, it's an ecological experiment in regeneration and art. They have been working to remediate and rewild the grounds while preserving the industrial remains of Buffalo's past. Silo City is an important venue in the Buffalo arts scene and has a number of events throughout the year, from outdoor avant garde theater to live music in old grain elevators. This place is incredibly photogenic, and during the summer, you will see people wandering around the grounds exploring with their cameras. During the off season, the only open part of the property is the restaurant and bar, Duende, which is definitely worth checking out.

If you’re into architecture, driving / busing to Buffalo to see the old grain elevators is 100% worth it!
