I’m Marc, and I’m founder of Buffalo Bike Tours. For the last 15 years, I've made my career in public history. I’ve been Executive Director of Know Your City, a tour company in Portland, a Tour Guide for Everybody’s Bike Tours, and a Guest Lecturer for Road Scholar.
Last summer, I moved back home to Buffalo to be closer to family and started leading history tours. I wrote songs, brought poems to read, shared jokes, and showed people some of my favorite places. But what I love most is meeting people from around the world and sharing my city’s proud history with them. I look forward to meeting y'all and pedaling with you around town!

It was a wonderful deja vu experience for my wife and I as Buffalo natives. Marc had a unique and concerned attitude toward the biking/historical perspective. From the ukulele playing and singing to the depth of his historical knowledge, we shared fun couple of hours. If you are looking for an "out of the ordinary experience", this may be what you are looking for!

Highly recommended if you're a tourist or even a local. Got to see the beautiful and diverse city in the most enjoyable and laidback way by bike. Marc was accommodating and answered all our questions best he could. Wish there were more of such tours in other cities.

Love the B side. We shared an interest with Marc in Social justice issues, and hearing the stories from early buffalo days, and actually seeing the sites associated with Black emancipation, and labour issues from the old robber baron days was fascinating. Marc was engaging, we sang a couple of interactive songs with him and his tiny guitar, and all in all, an excellent two hours spent getting to know one of my favorite cities a whole lot better.
