Dedicated to the December 1989 anticommunist revolution that began here in Timişoara. The Museum is tucked away and not very well signposted. It is in an old Army Barracks building. It is small and free to enter although they do ask for donations. The visit starts with a 20 minutes documentary (not suitable for young children) about the 1989 Revolution with English subtitles. The Museum is spread over two floors and a few small rooms and consists of memorabilia, artefacts, posters, newspaper clipping and many photographs explain the history of Timisoara. Not all of it has an English translation but it is relatively easy to get a feel for what is being shown.
