The closest pub to the flat is The Brownswood, which has a quiz every Wednesday night and a traditional British roast lunch on Sundays.

They have a really great selection of real ales and cider, plenty of space indoors and out. Log fire in winter. They have a few games in the bar upstairs. Climbers from the climbing centre opposite usually hang out here, which is nice.

Neat and cosy gastropub with a good selection of beers and ciders. In summer, it has a large outdoor drinking area.
