Very cheap to enter and see all the cute dogs. The most famous shelter in England. Any money received from entrance fees goes straight into the charity. Definitely worth a visit

Battersea Dogs and Cats home. You have to pay to enter but the money goes to help look after the animals. You can walk around and meet all of the dogs and cats looking for a new home. It's a bit of an unknown place to non-Londoners but it's definitely worth visiting if you like animals.

Probably the oldest and most famous animal shelter in the UK - you can visit the dogs and cats for a small charge :)
