"Al Timon is an institution in Cannaregio when it comes to aperitif hour" The Restaurant/Bacaro “Al Timon” is an institution in Cannaregio when it comes to aperitif hour. The small yet rustic and authentic inner rooms give a welcoming and protective feeling to those who decide to dine there. Al…
this restaurant is famous for two things: aperitifs and meat! if you would like eating good meat with vegetables and a good wine, this is one of the best places in Venice! located in Fondamenta degli Ormesini: a very lively and busy place in the evening. I recommend to book
Fondamenta dei Ormesini is the nightlife center of Cannaregio district. Along the street facing the canal you can try different places to taste "chicchetti", the Venetian finger food, and have an aperitif; Al Timon Bragozzo stands out thanks to its original flavours and its deserved popularity.
Aside of the historical Timon (meat), the recently opened Timon all'Antica Mola is fish focused and with a calmer atmosphere.
Little nice osteria in a nice location. Good for aperitivo and for a informal dinner too.
Really great Cicchetti, local atmosphere, great wine. Amazing florentine steak.
“Crossing the bridge of the Malvasia, you find yourself on the Fondamenta degli Ormesini: this long street beside the canal ["fondamenta"] has become a hot spot of Venetian night life in recent years. Here you will find a whole series of ethnic restaurants and, with its Venetian cuisine and live music, "Paradiso Perduto" is one of the most popular meeting places in the entire city.”
“One of the most intimate, cozy and romantic restaurant in Venice. a bit expensive. no pizza. amazing wine list”
“This is a Great place if you want try tasty cicchetti paired with hight quality wines bio!”
“Venice isn't known for its beers but here you have a dozen of draught beers to choose from. Perfect spot for an after dinner drink or a late night out. Worth a visit for craft beer fans. View on S. Fosca bell tower is just amazing!”
“"Warm atmosphere, great variety of cichetti, friendly staff and a mix of locals and visitors make this one of our favourite bacari in town" Located at the end of a narrow calle (Calle dell’Orso 5495) this very characteristic Bàcaro, is divided into two floors: on the first floor you find the restaurant while on the ground floor there is the Bàcaro with the typical counter full of delicacies from the mozzarella in carrozza to meatballs, from skewers of potatoes to typical cicchetti with stockfish, meats and every other kind of filling. The room is very large and well cared for. Prices: from €1 for a glass of wine to €1.5 for mozzarella in carrozza and other cicchetti. The nice and warm atmosphere, the mix of locals and engaged visitors, the friendly and efficient staff, along with the broad variety of nice cichetti, fried food and skewers make it one of our favorite bacari in town. Open every day from 10.30 to 00.00.”
