Aker Brygge is part of the Sentrum district and is known for its pier, where terrace restaurants serve upscale Scandinavian and French dishes or simpler dishes such as burgers and steak. It's close to Akershus Fort and has a boulevard and shops.

Aker Brygge is the place to go when visiting Oslo. The Seaview is always beautiful no matter the time of year you visit. There are many places to sit outside if you take a coffee to go, or you can choose from the many cafes, pubs, and restaurants. When walking down Aker Brygge you will see some displayed art, and at the end is the Astrup Fearnley museum. I like to sit down and have a cappuccino at Olivia's which is one of many options for drinking coffee and eating out. There is a lot of shopping in the area if you want to combine the two.
