Our nearest large park, about five minutes walk away past the cemetery, BS5 6XA. There's not much in the way of sights, although the lakes at the bottom and the old lido are worth a look, and there is a decent playground. There are occasional festivals held there in the summer, but the park is most…
This lovely large park leads on to Snuff Mills, a lovely walking trail along the river Frome.
Lake, Open spaces, river side walk, all the way to the Frome village, choices on deciding how far you wish to walk, relaxing and good exercise. You can go the snuff Mills and see the still working water mIll
Another local park with a boating lake, this one has a family of Otters living on the island in the middle. The river Frome runs through the park and beyond all the way to Snuff Mills which makes a pretty decent walk.
Great easy to reach park with long stream side paths for walks out of the city but starting within in, there is also a pond and tennis courts
“Great neighbourhood pub. Good wood fired pizzas and they often have events on in the evening”
“The One-Stop Thali is a trendy award-winning restaurant with a tasty and small menu of Indian food, including veggie and vegan options. It has a café/coffee-shop vibe and is popular with mums with pre-school kids in the morning and at lunchtime, and couples and groups of friends in the evening. They also have a small range of beer and wine, although it's not really a place to go for just a drink.”
“This is about 20 mins walk away, its a great pub for reggae music and opens until very late, good food too, especially the Sunday roasts on offer. Check out the smoker friendly beer garden too.”
“Loved by Bristolians, the Bristol Sweet Mart is an independently owned, cultural supermarket on St Mark’s Road. It’s been an Easton landmark since 1978, and its family-friendly service is some of the best in the city. Alongside staple ingredients and produce, there are over 1000 types of herbs on the shelves, fruit and vegetables from all over the world and a deli which sells freshly-made snacks, homemade curries and Indian sweets.”
