Evergreen’s historic Main Street, bordered between a pink cliff wall of boulders and the rapidly flowing mountain waters of Bear Creek is compact, but full of irresistible fine arts, crafts and gifts worthy of any home, as well as bistros, coffee shops, boutiques, specialty shopping, live music and dining along the creek. If you visit during the winter you can rent some ice skates and enjoy the beautiful lake.

Evergreen: ~35 mins My idea of a perfect day: Summer: Drive about 30 minutes to Evergreen and have breakfast at Wildflower Cafe. Don’t judge this little divey joint, the food is consistently incredible. Fajita skillet!! Grab a coffee at the Muddy Buck, next door, and head down to the lake. Take out the paddle boards and enjoy an afternoon on the water with beautiful views. When you’ve gotten enough sun, head over to Lariat Lodge Brewery and enjoy a few beverages. If you are like me and like driving by beautiful homes, treat yourself by driving up Upper Bear Creek and dream about living in one of those 15 million dollar homes. Fall/Spring: Everything done the same, except replace paddle boarding for a hike starting from Elk Meadow Park. Winter: Copy and paste, except replace paddle boarding/hiking for snowshoeing at Alderfer/Three Sisters Trail.

Has a Great Lake where you can rent paddle boards or canoes in the summer and ice skate in the winter. The Main Street is also charming with some coffee shops and restaurants. Only 30 min or so from Littleton.
