Large, clean, crystal clear, and alligator free! The water too cold for gators unlike many other South Carolina Lakes, yet it is just right for most people and kids May through September! Lots of Islands, Home to many famous fishing tournaments like the BASS Elite series on ESPN. It is not crowed so you can kayak and paddleboard, water ski, or put along!

Tugaloo Inn is located on beautiful lake Hartwell which is 56,000 acres.

Good fishing, kayaking very good hiking trails. There's also trails around Lake for biking.

All of SC's upstate lakes, Keowee, Jocassee and Harwell have plenteous camping and recreational outlets. Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, our lakes are some of the best!
