The River Cafe sits in the middle of a beautiful forest, amidst biking and walking trails. They serve excellent cuisine from across the globe, including great coffee, homemade ice cream, and astonishingly perfect poached eggs. This is the place to enjoy lazy long weekend meals, watching people mix and mingle. Start with a long walk or run in the forest and then finish at the River Cafe. They don’t mind you walking up in your tennis shoes, everyone is welcome, including kids and muddy dogs. But be sure to arrive early on weekends, it does get busy.

Karura forest also has a couple activities such as bike riding and lawn tennis - and perfect spots for picnics! A must visit.
