Fairly simple hike through a mossy forest to an estuary that is popular destination for adventure kayakers. Most known for its tide changes that can create 20 foot low whirlpools.

A perfect day trip & picnic spot. 1 hr drive up coast to Egmont, then a nice flat 2km walk in through the forest leads you the rapids. We suggest checking the local tide tables and try to go during peak tides for the best visual experience of the rapids.
