OUSTANDING views from the top of Knysna, down Knysna River and through the famous Knysna Heads and lagoon. Worth a visit to hotel for 'golfers' breakfast' (good value)!

Located high on the hilltops above Knysna, Simola Golf Course offers truly spectacular views over the town, the lagoon and beyond to the Knysna Heads. The estate encompasses indigenous vegetation and lush forest all the way down to the Knysna River. Simola is the first Jack Nicklaus Signature course on the Garden Route, and it reflects his philosophy of keeping the natural lie of the land in the layout and design. Set below the high ridges, the course is free from the wind that often affects coastal courses. Fairways flow with the natural contours of the terrain and the unusual configuration of five par 5's and five par 3's adds a new dimension to the game. The Simola Golf Clubhouse forms part of the recently opened Simola Hotel. Guests and members have access to hotel facilities including a gourmet restaurant, indoor pool and Wellness Centre.
