You can enjoy some fishing on the pier or a swim at the beach, there is a Bait and Tackle Shop just a short distance away on the Cnr Hesse and Symonds Streets

Take a stroll on the historic South Pier a delightful pleasure on a sunny day. Immersed in history and lovingly restored and maintained. You may even see a seal, whale or dolphin from the end of the Pier. Perfect spot if you are wanting to throw in the line to fish.

Fishing from the Pier. Commonly caught varieties include whiting, salmon, squid and sometimes shark! Maybe avoid watching Jaws (or building expectations too high) among the little people before you go, but bring a variety of gear and bait to try.
