Traditionally the 'poor artsy' part of Melbourne. Great op shops, food and small stores, catch the 86 tram out from bourke st. or walk from the 96 or 11 trams

The eclectic mix of shops on Smith St still caters for everyone... although not as grungy as it once was you can still find the best vintage stores on Smith, along with record shops, boutique designer gear and the warehouse sales down the Alexandra Parade end.
