This is the first McMenamins location and kicked off a Portland brew-pub empire.

McMenamins have many locations in Oregon and are very popular locally owned restaurants and brewery. Visit them all. Hillsdale is really the smallest and least unique, but is a fun place with outdoor covered and seating (heated in the winter)

This is the FIRST McMenamins Brewery! If you have been around this area you know that they have restored and brought weirdness to many historic spots that may have been lost. That said... I don't recommend the food. My only joy there is a rubinatior (half Terminator Stout and Ruby pils). Hammered IPA is worth a mention.
