This is a historic Oakland soul food restaurant. They have great breakfast all day. On Sundays, they have a special menu with more typical soul food (fried chicken, collard greens, mac n cheese, etc). It's an easy walk, just around the corner.

Solid neighborhood establishment, family run. One wall is covered in pictures of celebrities posing with grandma Lois. Try: lemon ice box pie, cheese grits, chicken and waffles. Closes ~3pm
