Osteria Al Squero
Osteria Al squero Very characteristic Venetian cicchetteria (a drink plus a sandwich or tramezzino, or 'cicchetto'), with view on the facing squero di San Trovaso, one of the last old gondola quarries still in activity, for a low-cost but good lunch or aperitif in the Accademia area Caratteristica…
Il Bottegon and Lo Squero are located next to each other and offer a gourmet selection of "cicchetti" , the Venetian typical finger food. It’s cheap and tasty, and best accompanied by good local prosecco. From here you will be able to see the last gondola workshop in Venice right on the other side…
"A very nice Venetian Bacaro in Dorsoduro" This tiny bacaro, located in Dorsoduro 943, offers a huge array of cicchetti, great house wines, and a view of the most famous gondola build and repair yard in the city. Opening day goes from Thu – Tue (11:00am -9:30pm), closed Wednesday.
tiny place in front of the Sqero (gondola warf), little bits and Spritz (recall: there many types, not just Aperol !). With nice weather all guests will be out , using the low wall as "table"
The place is lovely, is infront of one of the yard were they construct gondolas. Is one of the few that is still working. At the other side of the canal there is this small bar where you can take a drink and eat canapes and tapas that in venetian dilect are called cicchetti. They are fabolous. But…
If you want to know Venice for its food you have to stop for a while in an "Osteria", a typical venetian bar. They serve a sort of tapas that we call "cicheti" made with seafood, sliced meat, cheese and vegetables served with fresh bread, accompanied with a glass of local wine. Our most popular wine…
A must visit bar for the local wine and prosecco as well as the Venetian specialty of "cichetti".
Review from a guest of our: Opposite the old gondola building yard in Dorsoduro, this bar is tiny with most of its client leaning against the canal edge drinking excellent wine or spritz and eating tasty bite size snacks. We would definitely recommend.
“There are a lot of caffè where people meet and stay all night from 6 pm drinking wine or "Spritz". Ci sono molti bar e caffè che dalle 18 in poi si animano di ragazzi che chiacchierano bevendo Spritz”
“My favorite restaurant while in Venezia, maybe not the best, but the one I love most.”
“Creative Venetian cuisine in a fabulous setting. This restaurant is really a top choice in Venice! Closed Sundays and Mondays at lunchtime. www.osteriadisantamarina.com”
“One of the last typical venetian restaurant with real venetian dishes. also is very loved from venetian cityzens too. You need to book if you come for dinner, and you will find some place without booking for lunch if you are lucky. The menu is fish or meet, depends of the days, so ask about when you book it. Also you can not order, you seat and the food will arrive directly to you, starting from a few apetizers to first courses to desert. Everithing will be so delicious that you will love it!”
