The Anagach woods are a just short walk from The Hazels, located on the other side of the River Spey. The Anagach Woods are a beautiful natural Scots pinewood forest. There are several clearly marked paths through the woods. Look out for capercaillie and red squirrels as you walk through the woods.

With the Anagach Woods just minutes away, it is a great place to enjoy a relaxed stroll down to the river, spotting deer, red squirrels and Capercaillie. Or if you want to do something a bit more energetic there are many Mountain Bike Trails in the wood too.

Anagach Woods are a beautiful natural Scots pinewood, the haunt of the Capercaillie. There are several waymarked trails through the woods; one route is longer and takes in part of the River Spey as well as the woods themselves. Park in the centre of Grantown-on-Spey. Take the turning off the east side of the main street, opposite the Co-op; it is signed for Speyside Way, River Spey and Anagach woods. Follow this road past the fire station and keep straight on at the staggered cross-roads. The road runs alongside the golf course before reaching a parking area for the woods with an information sign.
