At 1,460 acres with 40 miles of hiking trails, Jacksonville’s Forest Park is a wonderful place to get out and get away from it all. Only one mile west of historic downtown Jacksonville, Forest Park offers grand vistas, hiking trails, small creeks, the town’s old reservoir, interpretive markers, and remnants of old gold mines.

Lots of wonderful pet friendly hiking trails through the old mine areas of Jville. For the love of God, stay on the marked trails and avoid getting poison oak!!

Great place for an easy walk in some beautiful oak tree groves. A great view of Medford as well.
