One of the most famous landmarks on the Dingle Peninsula and situated close to Gallarus Castle. The Oratory is completely made of stone and some way it resembles an upturned boat.

Early Christian Oratory of the 8th Century. Probably the finest example of dry-stone building in Western Europe and he only one of it's type still standing.

Whether you want to see a historic building or look at the scenery it's worth a trip but there is something special about this spot.... this is the most peaceful spot on earth. Looking out on Smerwick Harbour, mountains to your back, fields and animals in between. I'v never felt more at peace than I do here and I can't explain why!
