The church is idyllic, close to a holy well, and with its own stable in the churchyard. Inside you will find one of Britain’s oldest fonts and one of the most intricately carved medieval wooden screens in Britain. 🗺️ 20.6 miles from Ynys Hut. 📌 Partrishow, Abergavenny, NP7 7LP.

A secret place. Still has its pre-Reformation wall paintings and rood screen, a magical atmosphere and a holy well below.

Just a few minutes walk from Fforest Farmhouse, this church is one of the best kept secrets in Wales. On the Beacons Way, and a pilgrimage site for hundreds of years. Discover the wall paintings (and spot the mistake in the 10 commandments), the preaching cross, the thousand year old font and the beautiful Oak carved screen.

This amazing church is just 20 minutes walk from the Hideaway and has a 14th Century Rood screen, a 1000 year old preaching pole and the 'Figure of Doom' Rob is also the church warden

If you love old churches you have to come here as it is stunning. You can walk from here across the Gaer Hill Fort (day walk), or drive.
