Second purpose-built museum in the country, amazing collection on abolitionist movement and Peter Clarkson as well as Egyptian antiquities from Peckovers. A must see.

One of the first ever purpose-built museums in UK. interesting artefacts including the 1st edition of David Copperfield (inscribed by the author) the original Dickens manuscript of Great Expectations.
