This 100-year-old tradition based on the classic book by Kay Thompson continues to delight little girls—as it did me—their moms, and grandmas. The formal tea, complete with finger sandwiches and custom Eloise tableware, is little slice of children’s fantasy land. I can’t get enough of the warm scones with Devonshire double cream. At $50 per child under 12, this is a special-occasion splurge. Make sure to make a reservation, and get there with plenty of time to spare as there may be a wait. But it’s worth it.
The hotel where Home Alone 2 was filmed. Very close to Central Park and fantastic shopping!
There is a food market downstairs of the hotel, with very decent prices and different cafe's to choose from.
“Fifth Ave is famous for its stores and shopping! Awesome visit even if you’re not looking to purchase anything ”
“Amazing Rooftop for drinks! great views of the city and delicious cocktails. ”
“Great bar loaded with successful professionals at Happy Hour. When you enter the hotel, just turn to your left past check-in and proceed all the way to the back bar (goes through a restaurant area).”
“Located across the street from Apt. Great for brunch, pastries or the grab coffee and lunch”
“Mr. Chow has been serving Chinese food in its elegant Sutton Place setting since 1979. After all these years, it’s still considered a place to see and be seen; don’t miss the Beijing chicken and Chinese broccoli lightly stir-fried with garlic. ”
