One of the good Pregos in Funchal. Speciality: “Prego Especial” Prego Especial – A steak sandwich with garlic, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato and a fried egg, traditionally presented in a “Bolo do Caco”. Prego – A regular steak sandwich with garlic, traditionally presented in a “Bolo do Caco”. Bolo do Caco - A flat, circular bread, shaped like a cake and thus called bolo (Portuguese for 'cake'). It is traditionally cooked on a caco, a flat basalt stone slab. The bread is usually served with garlic butter and parsley (called “Manteiga de Alho”) or eaten as a sandwich or as a Prego.
