Subway station, gets you to Universal Studios, Hollywood, Downtown and even the Westside.

from here you can get into Hollywood or downtown in 10 min. Its fast cheap and best of all no traffic!

The LA metro system is much better than people say. There are also buses. However, it is often best if you mix uber and the metro for the best results. I would tend to be careful about going on the metro very late at night, although the reality is I believe the crime rate is lower than people imagine. It is much less stressful taking the metro to downtown than driving into downtown.
