Two fantastic waterfalls! Under the Špik Mountain you will find two waterfalls – pearls of the Slovenian Alpine world. Especially spectacular is the Upper Martuljek waterfall, which descends in three stages over the vertical wall of 110m. The path to it is relatively easy, however the trail to the vicinity of the waterfall is only suitable for well-equipped mountaineers. Then, the stream continues through the Jasenje mountain and as the Lower Martuljek Waterfall runs over the 50-metre-high wall in a 400-metre-long and narrow Martuljek Gorge formed in limestone. Under the Špik Mountain you will find two waterfalls – pearls of the Slovenian Alpine world. A wonderful trip is complemented by home-made food from a well-known ‘Pri Ingotu’ cabin and a visit to the charcoal pile on the way.

Two beautiful waterfalls deep in a gorge under the most beautiful mountains in Slovenia. Parking just behind the bridge, at the address: Zgornje Rute 4, Gozd Martuljek. After walk about 30 minutes to the lower waterfall, it's a very simple way. Further the path is more difficult, you need hiking poles and shoes. Between the waterfalls on the high mountain plateau we have wonderful restaurant PRI IGNOTU in the hut, works in the summer.
