Canyonlands is the largest national park in Utah, and its diversity staggers the imagination. The easiest way to see the park is with a visit to the Island in the Sky district, only 32 miles (51.5 km) from Moab. The Island in the Sky offers many pullouts with spectacular views along the paved scenic…

“Much like Arches National Park but way less crowded, and closer to drive to. Make sure to pack a lunch or snacks and plenty of water to take with you. ”

Museum
“30 minutes south of Blanding. This museum features pioneers that settled Blanding and Bluff. It’s free to visit and it’s a cool place for adults and kids. Checkout la bunch of log cabins furnished with family heirlooms from the actual pioneers and their stories. There is a place for kids to pan for “gold”, hand carts to pull around, “steer” roping, and pioneer clothes for kids to dress up in. My favorite part is the homemade brownies and cookies sold for $1 .”

“Newspaper Rock is a great stop on your Canyonlands. If you take the back road leading to Newspaper Rock it will take you about the same amount of time but there is a pit stop for Newspaper Rock that allows you to see these amazing hieroglyphs just off the road. ”
