A quick hike around the loop or to Romero Pools brings you around the back side of the Santa Catalina mountains with amazing views of Pusch Peak. These trails are great for kids, since you're near water quite a bit and can splash in the pools.
Take the Canyon Loop trail for a quick desert stroll or hike to Romero Pools for a more adventurous trek. Wild poppies bloom in the spring but be sure to bring some water shoes or a change of socks because you will cross a stream multiple times. Also be advised there is a fee to enter the park.
