该寺历史悠久，是清迈古城的第一座佛寺，由兰纳王国的第一任国王孟莱王（King Mengrai）于1297年亲自监督兴建，寺庙融合了兰纳与斯里兰卡的建筑风格。The temple has a long history and is the first Buddhist temple in the ancient city of Chiang Mai. It was personally supervised by King Mengrai, the first king of the Lanna Kingdom, in 1297. The temple combines the architectural styles of Lanna and Sri Lanka.
