This is a gorgeous bridge to behold. 40 miles east of Portland in Columbia River Gorge. Often mentioned in relation to Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). If you go out this way, cute town of Hood River sometimes allows you to see marvelous kiteboarding. Also consider going for a soak in a big clawfoot bathtub and a wrap at the quirky Carson Hot Springs. It's a steal at around $26. BUT definitely not upscale.

If you are trekking the PCT north bound you must walk over this lovely landmark. Be careful as it is narrow. The views are breathtaking!

The Bridge of the Gods is a steel truss cantilever bridge that spans the Columbia River between Cascade Locks, Oregon, and Washington state near North Bonneville. It is approximately 20 miles east of the cabin on HWY14 towards Stevenson, and 4 miles upriver from Bonneville Dam. It is a toll bridge operated by the Port of Cascade Locks, bring $2 in cash if you plan to cross over to the Oregon side of the river.
