The Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia is one of the eldest outdoor museums in Europe. Since its establishment in 1924, the museum has collected 118 historical buildings from all over Latvia. Riga and all of Latvia’s regions, Kurzeme, Vidzeme, Zemgale, and Latgale, are represented here. The buildings have been set up to give visitors a sense of Latvia’s rural landscape. If you like history, nature, old buildings then you must see this museum. Best time to visit from May 1st – September 30th. During winter season you cant go inside of the buildings so better to visit it at summer season. To get there you can use bus No.1.

Place where all the Latvian traditions are always taken in mind. All the national celebrations (Midsummer, Easters etc.) are set here to remind how important it is to keep traditions alive. Great place for families!
