June 21-23, 2024 - SUMMER SOLSTICE PARADE AND CELEBRATION. The Solstice Festival takes place at Alameda Park, just 2 blocks from your front door. Check the "Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Celebration" website for events, dates, times and parade route. The Summer Solstice Parade has evolved into creative and original display of floats, giant puppets, whimsical costumes and masks of more than 1,000 parade participants of all ethnic and economic backgrounds. There is dancing, music, drumming and drama that enthralls the spectators. The Festival at the Park: Enjoy a wonderful eclectic collection of live world music including famous local groups as well as local food vendors and artists and craftspeople from around the country. There's a wine and beer garden each year and it's walking distance. :) USE CAUTION. ROUTE MAY BE MISSING SIDEWALKS OR PEDESTRIAN PATHS. ROAD CONSTRUCTION AND DETOURS CAN OCCUR.
