Hands down the best pad thai in town. It’s been there as long as I can remember. When they say your food will be ready in 10 minutes they aren’t kidding! Also there’s a couple isles of imported foods that are always fun to browse while you wait for your food.
Take out Thai is right down the street. Also selling some Thai cooking essentials if you're the do-it-yourself type.
$$ - Great pad thai, drunken noodles, and my favorite: pineapple fried rice. Also a bulk food Asian market where the prices can't be beat!
“$ - Best quick and easy lunch in Portland with gargantuan delicious comfort food. All hot and ready, a blue collar hot spot with cheap eats.”
“Excellent Cajun breakfast food in a quirky diner setting. They have both table service and counter service. Can be very busy at peak breakfast times on the weekends, so get there early or expect a wait. For those who don't like Cajun food, they also have fantastic pancakes and traditional breakfast offerings.”
“Organic Wheat bread, sandwiches, soup, coffee, scones, brioche, coffee cake, cinnamon buns, cookies, brownies. Did I say YUM?”
“If you're a beer tourist, but short on time, head to The Bear. They have one of the largest draft beer menus in the city, including many of our local and New England favorites. Also has great pub food. This is where we had our first date!”
“Lovely weekend brunch with live music. Take the ferry over (about a 20 minute ride) dine al fresco and then rent a tandem bike and ride around the island. ”
