This city is the Port wine area center. Douro Museum is a worthy visit to have contact to the Douro History. The restaurant Companhia is a nice place to have a pleasant meal after the visit to the museum.

If you want to visit Douro vineyard region you are strategic positioned to do so, because the villa is located between Porto and Regua the heart of Douro region.

If you have an entire day free, you should not miss the amazing views of Douro valey. You can go up by train and come down by boat. Need to book in advance.
