Hatoviejo continues to be recognized for the typical cuisine of Antioquia, a Colombian department of which Medellin is the capital, especially for the paisa tray; a dish that has a little bit of everything: meat, chorizo, pork rinds, fried plantains, rice, eggs, avocado, arepa and beans, and because of its size it is usually eaten on weekends.
