Ten minutes by car, free parking and perfect for an hour's stroll or burning off some energy with your children, this place is free to access and you can wander around tropical plants in greenhouses, huge fish in ponds, lots of different plants and trees and green open space.
Also featuring the Attenborough Arboretum opened by the one and only Sir David in 1997. Often there are sculpture exhibitions outdoors. There is also a cafe.
The Botanic Gardens are a 25 minute walk from us and are great for spending a warm afternoon walking around and popping into the old Victorian house for afternoon tea. Dont take your dog though as its strictly humans only!
