The remains of a three-storey-high castle keep and modern museum. Built in 1186 by Robert de Lacy, the Norman keep of the castle is reputed to be the second smallest in England. There is free access to the grounds and a small fee for the museum, with excellent views of the surrounding area. There are many shops, cafes, bars/restaurants on the high street.

Ruined keep of 12th century castle with great 360 degree views of the Ribble Valley. There is a castle museum too.
