Well-known gastronomic market. You can buy fresh food (butcher, fishmonger, etc.), pastry products (I recommend Manolo and Formentor pastry) or eat there (Pasta Mito Italian restaurant).

"Be amazed" Known as the gourmet market of madrid, founded in 1962 , for best meat, fish, hams etc,etc, open 9-2 pm 5:30-8pm Sat 9-2.00 only.

This is where I go to buy fresh fruit and veg, meat and other yummy Spanish fair. A traditional Madrid food market where you can pick up delicious fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, meat and ready prepared traditional fair. Worth visiting just to see the beautiful market stalls. My personal favourites are: Frutas Charito (lower level), La Ermita Cantabria (lower level), Pollería Selecta Hnos Gómez (lower level), Bon Fromage (upper level), and Raza Nostra (upper level).
