Forest Park is the largest urban park in the country, with many great trails. This is generally less crowded than the access points right in downtown, and provides a nice walk in the woods on an old fire road, as well as several smaller trails.

This is a great hike to a beautiful little lake with views of Mt. Hood. If you're up for a bigger hike you can follow the trail to the top of the ridge above the lake for even more expansive views. This trail gets very busy on weekends, recommend going early and during the week if possible.

If you're up for a bigger hike you can follow the trail to the top of the ridge above the lake for even more expansive views. This trail gets very busy on weekends, recommend going early and during the week if possible.
Sightseeing
You can drive up, or better yet park on NW Cornell Rd at the Wildwood trail and hike up the hill to it. The views of the city and Mt. Hood from here are excellent!
