This is a wonderful day trip but be sure you go to BISBEE AZ first as it is only 24-miles due S.E. then you can hit Tombstone on your way back to Tucson. Doing a tour of the "Old Courthouse" a must if you really want to know about the history of this area during its heyday.

One of the finest museums in the U.S.A. Plan on spending a few hours there as there is much to see as you educate yourself on the history of flight.
