My favorite place to eat. A small corner store that sells poboys and hot plates with food just like grandma used to make. Plus some of the nicest people behind the counter! Note there is no indoor seating, so plan on eating under the covered awning or taking it to go. I recommend eating in nearby Markey's Park!

A great place to get a nice meal or a cocktail. While more upscale than most restaurants in the neighborhood, they aren't gonna make you put on a suit and tie.

My favorite old New Orleans restaurant. I highly recommend going for lunch during the weekday where prices are a little better, the dress code is a little less strict, and you can get their famous 25 cent martinis! Be sure to check out the old cemetery on your way out.

A narrow but long park that runs on the other side of the train tracks along the Mississippi river. A great place to exercise or just get amazing views of downtown. The closest entrance is the bridge - or the "Rusty Rainbow" - where Piety St. meets the river.
