Excellent local bar with cocktails, great beer selection, and friendly vibe.
Great neighborhood bar that's been around since the 1800's serves good beer but also has a fantastic jukebox selection usually open until business decline around 2 am.
Great neighborhood bar with excellent cocktails and an extensive beer list. Very funky and hip; usually has a DJ on weekend nights.
“For when you need to watch the game on your vacation! A sports bar thats not too offensive! Right next door to The Country Club which doesn't really make sense! ”
“Sports bar with an extensive selection of both beer (best in the neighborhood) and burgers. ”
“Quintessential New Orleans Bar! Don't let the seedy environment detour you from this casual, comfortable Bywater hangout. Vaughan's is one of the best dive bars in town, brought to local infamy by Kermit Ruffins; regular Thursday night gigs. Kermit retired last year from late night shows, but Vaughan's is still home to funky live jazz every Thursday night. The bar is friendly, drinks are strong and well priced and the crowd is usually more locals than tourists. Vaughan's is off the beaten path, although not as far afield as it was even five years ago - the Bywater is booming. Grab a taxi or Lyft to get to this Bywater bar from the French Quarter. There's a cover, but only on Thursdays.”
“Satsuma Cafe hones a hipster vibe in the Bywater neighborhood. The vegan curry scramble with roasted sweet potato, kale, and cauliflower flavor blends are spot on. Mexican tacos and fluffy blueberry pancakes are hometown and out of town favorites. ”
