Family owned since 1951, best place to get soft serve ice cream treats and on the way to Portland headlight at Ft Williams park and across the street from Otto Pizza, a local chain. Many locals order a Boston shake, which is a a shake with a hot fudge sundae on top. It's not on the menu.

Check out what time is sunset and coordinate your return ferry ride from Peaks Island so you can see it from the water setting over Portland.

Bring a picnic and enjoy the amazing ocean views. Or stop at the BYOB Lobster Shack just before the park entrance and tuck into some fried seafood or a lobster dinner overlooking the ocean.

Excellent strawberry picking in late June until around July 4th, though I heard that due to the cold wet spring they will be late this year. Combine with a visit to Kettle Cove, Two Lights State Park and/or Crescent Beach (connected to Kettle Cove.) Fees for Two Lights and Crescent beach but not for Kettle Cove. Parking is tough on hot days at Kettle Cove as the lot is small.
