A visit to Flowerpot Island is a great way to spend a day on the Bruce Peninsula. If you take one of the Glass Bottom Tours (we recommend Blue Heron Co. ) you will also go over the shipwrecks in Big tub harbour before heading out to the Island. Famous rock formations, a wonderful beach, easy relaxed hikiing, and stunning views.

The Visitor Centre at the Bruce Peninsula National Park is a great way to soak in a little of the history of the area. Be sure to watch the short movie at the beginning of your visit. Well worth it! Tobermory has a rich maritime past as well as being a unique area in terms of it's natural geology. The Centre has great exhibits that cover many of the interesting facets of this beautiful place.

Tobermory has amazing shipwrecks and a tour on the Glass Bottom boats allows those who don't dive the best opportunity to see some of these. There are also tours out to Flowerpot Island and the amazing Sunset Cruise (which is our favourite). This cruise takes you down the stunning Gergian Bay coastline past the Grotto . The return leg is the perfect opportunity to view an incredible Georgian Bay sunset!
