Approx. 1.5 hours north towards Tobermory. Book a parking space online at Parks Canada. Bring a picnic for the hike, take a dip into the cool Georgian Bay waters at the grotto. Tobermory has a brewery, food, ice cream, boat tours to Flower Pot Island -- as well as Chi-cheemaun ferry to Manitoulin Island.

The Grotto in Tobermory is Northern Bruce Peninsula's most popular attraction. Its turquoise water and intricate cave structures carved by Georgian Bay out of the Canadian Shield are one of a kind. When you see posts on social media about Tobermory, The Grotto is probably a picture you'll see.

The Georgian Bay shoreline including the Grotto, Halfway Log Dump and surrounding trails is a popular area of the park. Please note: Parking is limited and a parking reservation is required to access these areas. Plan ahead to avoid disappointment! Driving in and dropping off visitors is not allowed. All vehicles require a valid permit to enter each area. Access into the Grotto cave is currently closed since physical distancing is not possible. The view of the cave can still be enjoyed from above.
