A San Diego institution. No frills. They only do beef pho. Order a 16 or 17, plus sate and bread. I love the lemonade although technically it’s limeade. Parking is horrible but it’s the best pho in San Diego (I’ve seen an owner of another popular pho place eating here! So you know it’s legit!).

Very close to our place, short walk. Inside of here is a place called Sahara. Great gyros!! I’m guessing all the food is good. The market itself is pricey but has a few basics and awesome selection of beer/ wine/ and non alcoholic drinks. Some food items and even a bit of produce usually.

Not far from the airport. Can get very busy but the line moves fairly fast. The food is great. Get a seat outside and enjoy the view (but beware the seagulls).

Rush hour starts around 3pm now, avoid heading south or east on the highway between 3:30-6:30. If you can’t avoid it, just get in line, relax, and crank some good tunes to pass the time.
